Speaker Biodata
In Ph.D. her research, Irni had conducted 9 different but interrelated studies involving interviews and workshops with 152 bitcoin’s and blockchain’s stakeholders and experts across Malaysia and United Kingdom. Some of the novel contributions from the studies are the framework of trust for bitcoin’s stakeholders, materializations of blockchain’s key entities for learning and designing work, blockchain’s algorithm for trust in peer to peer bitcoin transactions and the trust prototype for bitcoin mobile application.
Irni had successfully defended her viva in May 2019 and resumed her position as a senior lecturer at Faculty of Information Management, UiTM Puncak Perdana.
Event Summary
In this time sharing session, there were Maker Lab’s Computer Science interns and around 16 UiTM lecturers from campus Puncak Alam and Puncak Perdana participated. The invited speaker, Madam Irni Eliana shared about her field which is studies about Blockchain and Blockit. Madam Irni mainly focused on explaining the Blockit- everyday objects representing the various elements of blockchain in the physical world.
This event is co-organized by Big Data Lab UCS and MakerLab UiTM.Crucial to determining the value of Bitcoin, blockchain works behind the scenes to store all the critical information about blockchain transactions, including the time, date, and amount of exchange and connects the data together.
